On Friday, June 8, 2012, Laurie Edwards-Tate, a Board Member of the San Diego Regional Home Care Council, attended the Spring Luncheon event at beautiful Sheraton Four Points Resort.

In addition to being a table sponsor, At Your Home Familycare provided the lively, melodious harp music with bongos accompaniment by Harp Enchantment. With Survivor as the luncheon theme, critical issues facing home care State-wide and Federally were presented by Joe Hafkenschiel, retiring CAHSAH President.

According to Edwards-Tate:  “Home Care is at a crossroads, and it will require great effort, advocacy, and legislative support to survive.  We are grateful for the attendance of several legislative representatives.”

Joining Edwards-Tate as AYHF’s guests were Will Zasadny, representing Congressman Brian Bilbray; Stirling McHale, representing Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher; and Katherine Fortner, representing Congresswoman Davis. Also joining AYHF’s table were Joyce Temporal, representing Assemblyman Marty Block; Burton Disner, CEO of North Coast Health Care Products; and Terre Davis, AYHF Client Care Manager.

“We are grateful for the interest and support demonstrated by so many of our elected officials and appreciate their attendance at this event,” said Edwards-Tate.
