At 10:21 a.m. on October 21, 2010 California will participate in the largest earthquake drill ever.
The event is called ShakeOut and its purpose is to help all Californians get ready for big earthquakes, and to prevent disasters from becoming catastrophes.
Earthquakes are a fact of life in the Golden State and it’s smart to do whatever we can to be prepared. It’s especially important for seniors, the disabled, or anyone with special needs. Mark Thursday, October 21 at 10:21 a.m. on your calendar and participate in the 2010 Great California ShakeOut. 5.7 million people have already signed up. Let’s see if we can top last year’s 6.9 million participants!
