New Year’s and resolutions go together!  This is “LifeCycles” with Laurie Edwards-Tate, President, At Your Home Familycare.

Quitting smoking is a popular resolution, and there’s good new reason. A Kaiser Permanente study found heavy smoking in midlife doubles your odds of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Only cancer is more feared. Maybe this double threat will get you to kick the habit.

One place to get FREE help quitting is the American Lung Association. Try their “Freedom From Smoking” program. Call the Lung Association at 800-548-8252. It’s never too late to get healthy.
