There is more and more evidence that challenging mental activities can help slow mental decline and dementia due to aging.  This is great news!

Surprise: computer games are just as good as crossword puzzles.

Not all games are violent. There are many that can exercise the mind without distasteful content. Try Tettris or the Myst series. Find good recommendations on the website Digital Grandparent Dot-Com. Or – ask your friends, kids, and grandkids. Then invite yourself to play along!
