We are learning from baby boomers how people can exercise effectively into their later years and work around injuries safely. Improvements in medical technology and the greater fitness of today’s older athletes allow more sophisticated and aggressive treatment. But some senior athletes complain doctors still believe outdated advice about resting injuries or conditioning.
All agree we should be mindful of normal changes due to aging. Cross-training and sufficient rest between workouts may be all that is needed to stay in the game!
